Defence · Company opportunity screen

Which companies on your list have a credible defence opportunity, not just a plausible story?

Almost any company can tell a plausible defence story. We research what each company on your list does, whether the evidence shows a credible pathway to a defence customer, and how strong it is, then rank them on your criteria.

Canada first. Allied companies and supply chains are included within an agreed scope.

What you’re deciding

Who to approach first, and what to say.

Which companies deserve attention first

A ranking on your criteria: capability fit, a credible pathway to a defence customer, evidence quality, apparent entry difficulty and timing. Each score sits beside the evidence and the reasoning, so you can see what would change it.

What to say when you approach them

For each shortlisted company, the specific reason it fits, the questions still open, and the points worth raising in a first conversation with management.

Credible pathway or plausible story

Documented defence participation is labelled separately from a capability match we infer. A subsidiary’s activities are kept separate from its parent’s, and thin evidence is flagged rather than filled in.

The engagement

What you receive, and what you provide.

What we look at
Business activities, products and services, geography and operating footprint, ownership and structure, scale, available financial information, publicly documented defence participation, and fit with the capabilities and supply-chain positions that public policy and procurement are pointing demand toward.
What you receive
A research workbook with a profile per company, a ranked shortlist with the rationale beside each name, source references, confidence notes and discussion points for the first conversation.
What you provide
The company list, or the filters that define it; the geographical and sector boundaries; your screening criteria, or we agree a starting set with you; a contact to answer questions while the work runs.
Where to start
One market question and an agreed company universe. Depth and the number of full profiles are agreed before we quote.
Then
More companies, deeper assessments of the shortlist, or a second market question.

Delivered through 15Rock’s research platform and expert analysts.

One row per company. Documented participation is labelled separately from inferred fit, the market signal carries its stage, and every priority names the next question.

From question to review

How the work runs.

  1. 01

    You

Frame the decision: the market question, the companies in view, the geography and how the research will be used.

  2. 02

    Together

Agree the evidence and criteria: source availability, permitted inputs, assessment dimensions and the depth required.

  3. 03

    Our platform

Research and organise: build profiles, map activities and connect public market developments to company capabilities.

  4. 04

    Our analysts

Assess and explain: apply the agreed criteria, separate evidence from inference and document uncertainty.

  5. 05

    You

Review the shortlist and decide what needs more research before a commercial decision.

Before you start

Four things that shape the scope.

  1. 01Which decision does the shortlist serve: an approach, an acquisition or an engagement?
  2. 02What defines the universe, and is it a known list or a discovery exercise?
  3. 03Which criteria matter most, and how should they be weighted?
  4. 04Who will use the workbook, and in what format?

What this is not

  • A complete supplier registry or an exhaustive private-company universe.
  • Access to non-public revenue, capacity or contract information.
  • A statement that any company is an approved or qualified defence supplier.
  • Assurance that a shortlisted company will take the meeting.
  • A measure of defence readiness. Scores summarise research and judgement against your criteria.

Start with one question

Which companies should you approach first?

Send the list, or the filters that define it, and the decision it serves. We’ll agree the criteria and depth before quoting.
